Redbore 90The Mindola Deeps shaft is the deepest, single-lift shaft equipped for hoisting ever raisebored in Zambia.
The Mindola Deeps project scope included access to the lower orebody by means of a new 1,892 m deep vertical service shaft (accommodating material and people), a main access decline, as well as shaft infrastructure. The Redbore 90 EX was utilized for the raisebore work up to a diameter of 6.1 m.
The shaft is the deepest ever to be raisebored and equipped for hoisting in Zambia. Unique construction methods, coupled with the title of ‘deepest single-lift shaft in Zambia’, makes it a cornerstone project for Redpath Raiseboring's Africa team.
